The greenhouse recently got a major upgrade of an automated shade system to keep the greenhouse cooler in the summer and better retain heat in the winter. Materials and labor were donated by JADE Systems' owners, Jan and Deborah Koenekoop.

The greenhouse serves as an educational tool used by many different programs for children and adults. Plants are also raised in the greenhouse for sale in the Spring and Fall.
