Therapy Garden |
A ground breaking ceremony for the new Therapy Garden was held on March 31, 2006. This exciting new horticulture therapy garden is being built thanks to a $25,000 grant from the local Perry N. Rudnick Foundation. The garden, designed by landscape designer Lee Dugger of Earthscapes, will accommodate gardeners with varying levels of disabilities. Plans include flower beds and vertical wall gardens that can be tended with minimal bending, stooping or reaching and beds that are wheelchair accessible. Drawings of the garden are available for viewing at Bullington Center. The new therapy garden is partially funded with additional funds being sought. Donors may buy dedicated flower-bed sections to raise the $110,000 funds needed for this and other projects such as children's and memorial gardens.
