The new shade garden is a planned project of the Henderson County Master Gardeners. The garden was designed by Diane Ashburn from the NC Cooperative Extension Service, the multi-talented "guru" of the Master Gardeners. Up a few steps from the sunny back lawn, this garden is a cool dim oasis filled wtih the stars of the shade, hellebores, pulmonarias, ferns, native wildflowers, trees, and shurbs that thrive in this quiet and sheltered spot.
