All the BOOST students participated in a garden competition, in which each school constructed a 4 x 12' raised garden bed. Each class was given a lesson on basic garden design by Diane Ashburn, Home Horticulture Extension Agent. Then each group was given a budget of $40 with which to buy seeds and/or plants. Seeds were ordered and planted and tended in the greenhouse until planting time. The gardens were judged in late May. The Best Garden award goes to: North Henderson H.S.
